Growing up in Searcy, Arkansas I lived and breathed the outdoors.  My first memories of the Little Red River were of my father taking our family fishing in our small jon boat.  The distinct sweet smell of the river and the taste of the canned corn I would eat (that was supposed to be used for bait) will forever be etched in my memory.  To this day, when I'm launching my boat in the river I can still smell that exact aroma the beautiful Little Red River emits.  Between the ultra clear green water teeming with trout, the early morning fog, the cold damp air that rises above the water on hot summer days, and the wild ducks and geese that fly up and down the shoals, the Little Red River has a draw to it that is impossible to shake once you have invited it in.
